The second wave bands were all on their way out and the youth crew style that was especially prevalent across the country at the end of the 1980s was also out of vogue. Undertow, who were fronted by John Pettibone didn't fit neatly into any of those categories, and Seattle at the time was much more focused on grunge, but they began
